Jimmy Barroso is a Paralegal at Solow, Hartnett & Galvan, LLC and is fluent in Spanish, English, French, and German languages.

Jimmy hails to us from Cuba and began his immigration law career in the United States three years ago. He is a licensed attorney in Cuba and is currently enrolled in an LLM program at Temple University, Beasley School of Law. Jimmy’s goal is to sit for the Bar Exam and be able to practice law as a U.S. licensed attorney.

Jimmy is very passionate about immigration law and works hard every day to provide the best service possible for our clients. He works primarily in our Litigation Department preparing cases involving Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, Adjustment of Status before EOIR, Special Immigrant Juvenile Adjustment of Status before EOIR. He has also prepared U visas, Employment Authorization and Travel Documents, Immigration Waivers, and USCIS and Consular Processing for Spousal and Fiance visas, and Naturalization applications. Outside of SHG, Jimmy can be found playing chess at Rittenhouse Square and socializing with friends. He is fluent in Spanish, English, French and German languages.

My Immigrant Story: I arrived in the United States in 2017, and I remember that as I filed my own immigrant case, it was a scary experience for me. However, it gave me the strength and enthusiasm to fight for those who find themselves in a similar situation. As the Cuban apostle, the lawyer Jose Marti, wrote (and my father reproduced multiple times): “To busy oneself with what is futile when one can do something useful, to attend to what is simple when one has the mettle to attempt what is difficult, is to strip talent of its dignity”
