Yelena Calderon is a bi-lingual paralegal who has worked with SHG Immigration Law both internationally and in the United States since 2021.  She handles family based and humanitarian cases, such as marriage-based adjustments of status, I-601A waivers, Consular Processing, U visas, T visas, and Naturalization.  Yelena works from our New Jersey Office.

My Immigrant Story:

I was born in Venezuela and unfortunately, I had to immigrate (first to Colombia, and now to the United States), in search of an opportunity and hope that I could not find in my home country. In my own journey I struggled to understand my immigration situation, about how things beyond my control pushed me out of my home in search of a new life.  My own experience helps color the work that I do.  This empathy is my key quality that I think makes my work with SHG unique.
